The launch of Smart Banking initiatives including online, electronic payment systems and multi-channel digital banking has continued to place pressure on banks to have access to the right technical skill set to ensure their offerings incorporate best practice, in terms of functionality, security and usability.


In recent years, Maltem has supported HSBC with delivery of a number of transformative digital innovation projects, providing specialised expertise to support the company’s in-house capability in delivering innovative banking solutions, including by:

  • contributing program management, business analyst and developer teams to support the company in adopting an Open API regulatory framework
  • designing new governance processes and systems to enable HSBC to meet new regulatory requirements for engagement with third party service providers
  • assisting with initiatives to enhance customer experience across HSBC’s digital banking product suite.
